One step closer to fame

One step closer to fame

This store idea, it wasn't mine. Well the store itself was my idea, but the impetus behind it was one of my friends telling me I should sell my artwork online.  The same guy in the "Dancing" series (he's a surprizingly good source of inspiration most of the time!).

A few minutes later, I ran across an ad for this site so I told myself that I'd just check it out and see what I could do for free.  (So broke 💔!)

And then all of a sudden I'm paying all of three bucks for the special trial, and paying 1 dollar for a domain and making art go on clothes and cackling like a manic witch on Halloween.

Getting the store up and running was surprisingly easy and frustrating all at the same time, but I persevered, and slogged my way through the trenches, and here I am about 3 days later, thinking I have a handle on this thing. We'll see...

I still have to navigate marketing strategies, and campaigns, while trying to dodge scammers, and wondering how well "word of mouth" works these days, compared to the slick ads on FB and tiktok and shit like that.

So for the next week or so I'm not going to advertise anything except a few texts to friends and such, and we'll see where it goes!
